The Louisiana Primary Care Association works with health center consumers to advance the awareness and support of our states health centers. LPCA provide trainings for all members of Louisiana Health Centers to educate them on legislative policy as well as increase their knowledge of the services their centers provide.  It is our hope that this education will assist our members in advocating for Louisiana Health Centers not only statewide but nationally as well.

The President’s Administration anticipates increasing the number of health centers by 1,200 over the next five years, doubling the amount of patients receiving care at health centers.  It is our goal to help educate our members on the President’s initiative thereby, enabling the centers to speak to their respective legislators on how the increase in health centers will have a positive impact on their community as well as the state of Louisiana.

Consumer Branch
The Louisiana Primary Care Associations Consumer Branch consists of board members from each of the 18 health centers.  These members come together to advocate for Louisiana’s Health Centers by contacting local and national legislators in an effort to increase funding and awareness of Federally Qualified Health Centers.  For more information on the Consumer's Branch click here.

Legislative Action
Throughout the course of the legislative session, it is important to contact our legislators, both locally and nationally to let them know how important our health centers are.  Legislators can be contacted by following the link provided to the LPCAs Legislative Action center.  Please contact your legislators to let them know how important your center is to your community.
