2025 marks 60 years in the Community Health Center Movement—from two clinics in Mississippi and Massachusetts to now a nationwide, safety-net system, CHCs have made their mark on our nation in their ability to go above and beyond the call to provide primary and preventative healthcare to ensure that every person in their community receives the care and services they need. Over the past year, CHCs have faced many changes and a wealth of uncertainty. In spite of those constant challenges, Louisiana’s Community Health Centers have maintained their status as one-stop shops for healthcare, specialty and enabling services, and other resources like in-house pharmacies and transportation services.
Each year, we celebrate National Health Center Week, honoring health center staff, patients, partners, and work all week long with events, celebrations, and gatherings throughout the state. Below are just a few highlights of 2025’s National Health Center Week events!
