Workforce Development

Workforce Development

Without a doubt, the key to success for Louisiana's FQHCs is the quality of their workforce. Providers and staff members at FQHCs are passionate about serving their patients and communities. The first step in creating a strong and effective primary care workforce is, of course, identifying and hiring high-quality providers and administrative staff who are committed to the health center mission. The Louisiana Primary Care Association provides assistance in recruitment & retention by offering technical support and referring candidates to individual FQHCs.

LPCA attends state and national conferences in an effort to recruit candidates to serve at our local FQHCs. We work with FQHCs to develop personalized, FQHC-tailored recruitment and retention strategies. In addition to in-house trainings and webinars, LPCA participates in regional recruitment fairs throughout the year.

We invite you to visit our Job Opportunities page to learn more about provider and clinical support opportunities available in Louisiana. If you are an Organizational (FQHC) member within the LPCA, you can post a job to our webpage. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity!

LPCA Compensation & Benefits Report

The purpose of the Salary & Benefits report is to collect and disseminate more specific, timely, and relevant employment and compensation data to FQHCs in Louisiana. Health centers have found the report to be a valuable tool in various aspects of the hiring process for all staff while conducting performance reviews and in assembling compensation packages that national surveys do not provide.

The 2023 report is NOW AVAILABLE for purchase.
