Cervical Cancer Series | Data, Quality Measures, and Reporting

Join us for LPCA’s Cervical Cancer Learning Series 6: Data, Quality Measures, and Reporting, part of LPCA’s Cervical Cancer Prevention Training Series. This session will focus on understanding how to track, interpret, and improve performance on key cervical cancer prevention metrics. Participants will gain practical skills for using data to guide improvement efforts and support accountability at the individual and team levels.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Overview of clinical quality measures, including CMS, UDS, and HEDIS
  • Extracting and analyzing data to identify gaps and drive improvement
  • Benchmarking performance and comparing results with colleagues and peers

Subtopics:

  • Setting measurable targets and tracking progress over time
  • Sharing performance data transparently with clinical teams to support engagement and improvement

This session is designed for clinicians, care teams, quality improvement staff, and leaders involved in data-driven cervical cancer screening and prevention efforts. This session will assist clinic in understanding how to track and improve performance on key metrics

Thanh Nguyen currently serves as the Data Analytics and Research Manager at the Louisiana Primary Care Association (LPCA). She began her career as a COVID-19 epidemiologist at a New Orleans-based Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), specializing in infection control and quality improvement (QI). With over four years of experience, Thanh’s dedication to public health is deeply rooted in her commitment to the Vietnamese community, a compassion shaped by her background as the daughter of Vietnamese immigrants. Growing up below the poverty line, Thanh developed a strong commitment to addressing health disparities and advocating for underserved populations.

Thanh has over four years of experience in public health, beginning with cancer research at LSU School of Public Health in New Orleans. She has since expanded her expertise to include quality improvement, grant writing, population health analytics, research, and needs assessments. Thanh remains dedicated to supporting community health centers and their patients, striving to make impactful contributions to the FQHC landscape.
