Cervical Cancer Series | Introduction to Cervical Cancer Prevention

Join us for the first session of LPCA’s Cervical Cancer Prevention Learning Series. This session will set the stage for a year-long collaborative by building community, aligning expectations, and establishing a shared baseline of knowledge.

Our expert speakers will provide insights into the epidemiology of cervical cancer, particularly in communities with fewer resources, and explore the full prevention continuum—from HPV vaccination to screening and treatment.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Overview of the collaborative: goals and expectations
  • Cervical cancer epidemiology and social determinants of health
  • U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) screening guidelines
  • Cervical cancer prevention continuum: HPV vaccination, screening, and treatment
  • Non-medical health issues that impact cervical cancer outcomes

By the end of this session, participants will have a clear understanding of the collaborative’s purpose, the current state of cervical cancer prevention, and the evidence-based strategies that will guide our collective work moving forward
This webinar will provide an overview of the Cervical Cancer Learning Collaborative, including goals and expectations. It will provide participants with foundational knowledge of cervical cancer including epidemiology, signs/symptoms, risk factors, screening guidelines.
