Courtney H. Malveaux is a proud graduate of Nicholls State University, affectionately known as “Harvard on the Bayou,” where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Courtney brings the heart and resilience of her hometown into every aspect of her work. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician in Louisiana. Courtney is married to her college sweetheart, Marlon Malveaux, and together they have two beautiful children, Morgan and Marlon Jr. She serves as the Postpartum Support International Louisiana Board Co-Chair and a member of the Louisiana Perinatal Commission’s Mental Health Work Group. Through her advocacy and community service roles, Courtney serves as a steering committee member of Geaux Far Louisiana and as a member of Thrive! on the Bayou. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Drawing from her personal experience with postpartum depression and rage, Courtney is the founder and owner of The Balanced Mama Counseling Services, where she provides specialized care to mothers navigating pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. Her work with the perinatal population is purposeful, driven by a commitment to ensure that mothers feel seen, supported, and empowered through every stage of their journey.
