The Mental Health Professional will communicate respectfully and effectively and establish professional relationships through active listening and demonstration of empathy and positive regard; promote recovery, independence, and personal choice for participants; assist clients in identifying strengths, needs, and realistic goals to develop a service plan; accurately identify risk, respond appropriately, and consult peers regarding high-risk situations and appropriate interventions; effectively teach social skills and household management skills; demonstrate advanced knowledge of behavioral health symptoms, diagnoses, interventions, and impact; maintain professional boundaries and operate within ethical guidelines; and know community resources and referral processes.  Read full job description
