Community Health Worker Training Program

The Community Health Worker Training Program is working to expand the number of Community Health Workers (CHWs) and equip them with the necessary skills needed to provide effective community outreach. This program is available both to individuals and to Louisiana's Community Health Centers to strengthen the connection between CHCs and the communities they serve, to empower individuals with health education, and to increase access to primary and preventative health care and social services.

    Develop your team by giving the tools they need to provide whole-patient care that goes beyond the clinic.

    Community Health Workers serve as a liaison or intermediary between health and social services and members of the community, helping to address healthcare barriers and increase quality of life based on individual needs.
  • Train your staff at no cost to your Community Health Center
    Receive reimbursement when training your health center’s staff.
