Federal Policy

Community Health Centers rely heavily on federal government support and grant funding in order to meet the needs of their patients. Therefore, many issues involving Community Health Centers are debated and legislated at the federal level.

The Louisiana Primary Care Association, in partnership with the National Association of Community Health Centers, monitors federal legislation and builds relationships with members of Louisiana’s Congressional delegation.

For nearly 40 years, LPCA has been an active participant in health policy and health initiatives that support the distribution of accessible, affordable, quality primary healthcare services for the uninsured and medically underserved populations in Louisiana LPCA and its community health center members contribute the tools and resources needed to help build strong, resilient and
healthy communities.
