Listen & Learn About the Opioid Epidemic: Voices of Resilience

Join the Louisiana Department of Health, the Louisiana Primary Care Association, End the Epidemic, Capital Area Human Services, and the East Baton Rouge Parish Library for the 3rd Annual Listen & Learn About the Opioid Epidemic: Voices of Resilience!

For the first time, this Listen & Learn event is open to every person in the community, healthcare providers, addiction services, and more! While in previous years, this event has focused on connecting emergency services, law enforcement, and healthcare and addiction services, this year, we are focusing on the people who are in recovery or who have known someone struggling with addiction. This year we will hear from artists, community members, and providers alike. There will be a NARCAN and fentanyl test strip demonstration as well as free NARCAN distribution. Together, we can tackle Louisiana’s ongoing opioid epidemic.

This event is open to all community members, including but not limited to:

  • Persons in recovery
  • Family members of survivors
  • Recovery advocates & programs
  • Healthcare providers
  • Community leaders
  • Faith-based leaders
  • Parents and grandparents
  • Policymakers
  • Youth

*There is no charge to attend, but provided meals will only be available to registered participants.
